'David Vos from the Department of Public Governance and Management has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation titled “Why do they do it? Explaining local governments’ choices of service delivery modes”. This was completed under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Joris Voets. The doctoral dissertation empirically examines drivers of local governments' choices in the elderly care sector and household waste management sector. The doctoral study has resulted in a series of publications in scientific journals including Lex Localis – Journal of Local Self-Government, Local Government Studies and Vlaams Tijdschrift voor Overheidsmanagement.
