4.3M euro funding for Flanders BioImaging
(23-02-2023) Flanders BioImaging has received funding in the recent International Research Infrastructure call of Research Foundation Flanders - FWO.
Flanders BioImaging, an inter-university research consortium dedicated to biomedical imaging and advanced light microscopy, includes core facilities from all Flemish universities and VIB. The goal of the consortium is to integrate, optimize, rationalize and coordinate available imaging infrastructure in Flanders, facilitating access to external users. UGent is a partner of the consoortium with two core facilities: GLiM and Infinity.
The received grant of €4.3M via the FWO International Research Infrastructure program, will support the Flemish participation in international research infrastructure and allows to facilitate access to imaging infrastructure as well as technological development. With this grant, Flanders BioImaging can also participate in Euro-BioImaging, a landmark European Research Infrastructure Consortium for biological and biomedical imaging to provide cutting-edge spearpoint imaging applications across Europe.
